In the past, we've managed this project in more of a 'stealth startup' mode, with people only finding out about it through the work we were doing.
We are now making an effort to open the project up to the public, and try and build an active community around it. Please feel free to share this site around! Please!

Cafe CD Blues, on the Third Ring Road near the Agricultural Exhibition Center, and its previous location a few blocks further south, has been home to the city's alternative music scene since the 1980s. It has been owned for nearly two years by veteran R&B singer and bass player "Big John" Zhang Ling. Playing on Friday from 7 pm are Chinese band Little Inn, the US' Peter Muchinson Band, Bobo Stump from Japan, Matt Cooper (featuring Swiss Werner Fischer on guitar) and Defy, a Chinese rockabilly group. The night finishes at 1 am. On Saturday, Joseph J. Johanna from New Zealand will perform folk blues from 3:30 pm, followed by Chinese band Out of Control, then Fernando Fidanza, the Peter Muchinson band again, Zhang Di and Lucy in an East meets West performance, and then the Big John Blues Band led by the bar's owner. The evening will finish with a blues jamming session from about 11:15 pm. Fernando Fidanza will kick things off from 2:30 pm on Sunday with his Italian Blues. He'll be followed with a harp clinic and harmonica competition until 5 pm. Starting at 4:30 pm outside will be another set by Joseph J. Johanna, then Hong Kong's Chit Chat band, Hoochie Coochie Gentlemen, Bobo Stump and finally, The Chinese Hell Cats from 10:30 pm. The cost of admission is 150 yuan ($23), including a free drink, for each day, or 400 yuan, including a free drink every day, for all three days. "Beijing will have seen nothing like it," says one of the event's promoters, Beijing-based US businessman Craig Quick. "This is a brilliant line-up of extremely talented musicians who know and love the blues inside out. It's going to be a tremendous occasion." In the early 1980s, as bassist for Chinese rock legend Cui Jian, Zhang Lin developed a deep understanding of the development of modern music in China when Western music was considered "capitalist". He used to listen to The Beatles tracks smuggled in from the US. Zhang studied bass in Australia and returned to China to collaborate with some of the top blues and jazz artists in the country, creating in 1995 China's first jazz fusion band, Tien Square. In 1996, he joined his old band mate, Cui, and International Monetary Fund vice-president John Anderson to form the first blues band in China, The Rhythm Dogs. He released his first solo album, Nu Ren De Ge (A Woman's Song), in 2008, and also runs a musician booking agency. Many of the world's jazz greats have visited or performed at the CD Blues Cafe and Bar, including Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Garrett and Herbie Hancock's band. Blues evolved from the unaccompanied vocal music and oral traditions imported from West Africa and rural tunes into a wide variety of styles and subgenres, with regional variations across the US.

ESOPs were introduced to China's power industry in the 1980s but fell from grace in 2007 after the central government discovered illicit profiteering by company executives and other officials tied to regional power companies. Enterprises with ESOPs took advantage of power system reform to obtain assets from grid companies at low prices – or at no cost. This helped many ESOP enterprises grow rapidly and move into other industry investments. They also generated huge profits thanks to the monopoly power of the grids. At a July conference, SERC Chairman Wang Xudong said the government would push forward reform by launching a pilot program allowing direct purchases of electricity and rural power sector reform. The campaign kicked off at state-owned enterprises (SOEs) controlled by the central government in 2008. That's when SOEs examined and registered the stock owned by about 230,000 employees. By staff reporter Li Qiyan That amount "is not very big when compared to the size of the power industry, but it will have a deep impact on the industry." Print E_Mail Share Facebook Linkedin Yahoo Buzz Twitter Digg Single Page Not all government agencies have shared the same attitude toward ESOPs since 2004. Some agency officials said it was enough to dismantle the system's management team shareholding, while others insisted all employee stock should be scrapped. "Generally speaking, the clean-ups went smoothly, adidas foot (http://www.adidasfootmagasin.com)," said a senior executive at a subsidiary of State Grid. "At the beginning, employees had some objections. But later, adizero f50 (http://www.adidasfootmagasin.com), they understood it was inevitable, so subsequent action was implemented smoothly." According to a manager at a local power company, mid-level managers normally could receive more than 100,000 yuan by selling their shares, while lower level employees could receive tens of thousands of yuan. "Payments were based on the conditions of a company's assets and operation," said an expert at SASAC, adding that the capital involved in the entire campaign could reach 1 billion yuan nationwide. "It was easy for ESOPs to get involved in affiliate (company) transactions and endanger state assets, adidas f50 (http://www.adidasfootmagasin.com)," said an expert at the China Electricity Council (CEC). A state auditor's report revealed that, as an ESOP company, chaussure louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com), Jinyuan had made a large number of affiliate transactions involving power distribution projects,Christian Louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com), which cost state assets. An official at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) said July 29 that cleanups involving complex ESOP shareholding structures at electricity distribution giants State Grid and Southern Power Grid had reached the final stages. The campaign is three months behind a schedule set by the State Council. But its scale is huge, involving more than 100,000 industry workers and about 1 billion yuan. Affiliate Transactions A report by the National Audit Office in July said affiliate transactions by ESOPs became a major problem for the power sector. According to SASAC, 56 holders of 13.5 million yuan worth of stock at 19 enterprises were found to be violating the regulations. The government then required 6,990 employees at 96 companies to sell their shares at pre-set prices. Now that the ESOP system has been mended, power sector reform is expected to accelerate with a new step in the second half of this year. Dismantling Campaign Chinese story: http://magazine.caijing.com.cn/templates/inc/chargecontent2.jsp?id=110219626&time=2009-08-02&cl=106 "The power industry's employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) are most complicated, ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.ralphlaurenmagasin.com), entangling the interests of different parties," said an official at the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC). Yet the successful dismantling of ESOPs will set a good example for other industries and pave the way for further reform in the power sector, the official said. An example of the threat involved Guizhou Jinyuan Group, the largest power producer in Guizhou Province. The central government in March 2008 launched an investigation into Jinyuan's former chairman, Xiang Dehong, and nearly 20 other officials. Eventually, they were detained by the Communist Party's disciplinary arm for alleged misconduct tied to state asset losses. Moreover, a long-awaited plan for separating wholesale and retail distribution systems is expected to be introduced next year. No consensus was reached until 2007,louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com), when the secret privatization of Luneng (see Giant Power Group's Privatization under Fire at http://english.caijing.com.cn/2007-01-08/110030159.html) came to light. After the case was featured as a Caijing cover story in January 2007, investigators from several central government agencies got involved, adidas adizero (http://www.adidasfootmagasin.com), leading to the canceling of Luneng's plan in the following December. The central government began clamping down on ESOPs in March 2008 when four agencies – SERC, SASAC, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance -- said staffers ranging from senior executives to mid-level managers at local and provincial power grid companies could not hold shares in power producers that feed their distribution systems. They were given one year to sell or transfer shares. By the end of 2008, most share portfolios held by senior executives and mid-level managers at State Grid had been dismantled. By the first half of 2009, clean-ups were under way at local power companies as well. Wrangling over employee-owned shareholding at China's power companies is ending as sector reform enters a new phase. The employee shareholder system remained intact, however, and later became an obstacle to further reform. And an initial regulatory vacuum for ESOPs endangered state assets. Companies with ESOPs included leading power enterprises in provinces and autonomous regions in 2002, when the central government started separating the power generating and grid systems. The reform was seen as a prelude to industry expansion. The distribution network of national giant State Power Corp. was divided in half between State Grid and China Southern Power Grid. Meanwhile, State Power's generation assets were allocated among five electricity producers. 1 yuan = 14 U.S. cents Six months later, SASAC issued new guidelines to further regulate employee shareholding in power companies. However, industry experts said implementing that regulation would be difficult, as many enterprises with ESOPs were taking a wait-and-see attitude, or just trying to get around the rule. (Caijing Magazine)A lengthy campaign aimed at dismantling controversial employee stock ownership systems at China's power companies is finally nearing an end. Related story: http://english.caijing.com.cn/2009-01-07/110045594.html "Problems have become embedded in the institutions," said the CEC expert. Now when you make the pitch, tell how your product benefits the customer, rather than rattling off product features you think he cares about. A sports car's features might be power steering, fast acceleration, and fuel efficiency. The benefits of that same car to a man a mid-life crisis, however, are the social status and appearance of youth it gives him. Which reason, the benefits or the features, would cause him to buy? If your pitch is too vague, if it's implied, louboutin chaussure pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), or it depends on prior knowledge for comprehension, then your prospect might never realize he needs what you're selling. About The Author While studying creative writing, I learned this storytelling maxim: every character has a motive for being in a scene. The same is true in a sales situation. Hopefully the answer is yes. If not, then you ask, "When would you be ready to make your decision? Can I contact you then?" 3. Close the Deal. I can't count how often I've read a brochure, watched a commercial, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), or visited a website and had no clue about what I was supposed to do. By this point your spiel should be unforced. You know the customer's "hot-buttons" so everything should be smooth sailing. Starting the process Whether you're wet-behind-the-ears or a seasoned copywriter, polo ralph lauren shirts (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), your craft will benefit by remembering one thing: The salesperson's motive is simple. He wants to make the sale and get his commission. But what does the potential customer want? Always end your copy with a Call-to-Action. Tell the customer exactly what you want him to do. This isn't the time to be cute, franklin et marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com/), so be exact. Do you want him to call you? Click a "Buy This" button? Make a donation? Tell your customer, or else he won't do anything. J.L. Reid is a freelance marketing-er-freelance sales copywriter based in Raleigh NC. Visit his website, www.reidwrite.com, to learn more about his services. When selling to prospective customers ask questions that get them to reveal their needs. It's a mistake to sell the product on the tip of your tongue. "Model X" might work, but if you listen you might discover that the more expensive "Model Z" is what the customer really needs. Once you know why the prospect is there--whether they have an unresolved need, polo ralph lauren uk (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), an emotional reason for buying, franklin marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com/), or they're just shopping around--tailor your pitch to their specific reason. We're in sales. I know this. You know this. We all know this. Yet why does much of the copy out there, especially ads produced by expensive agencies, seem to miss the point? Remember, louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), you're nothing more than a salesperson. So you, so while writing copy, you should go through similar steps. When asked what I do I usually say I'm a freelance marketing and publicity copywriter. I'm might revise the statement to, "I'm a freelance sales copywriter," because that's what it all comes down to: sales. Whether your copy creates a direct response or creates publicity and general awareness of your company, if you don't sell you might as well not be in business. When You're Finished, Close the Door 2. Sell Benefits, not Features. I've heard many sales trainers say, "It's not about you, louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), it's about them." That's golden advice. The best way to apply this idea to your copy is by focusing on your product's benefits. In a face-to-face sales environment it's easy to ask for a specific customer's needs. When writing sales copy you can create the same rapport by being customer-centered. To do this, write in the second person, or "You" voice. If your copy repeatedly says your company does this, or your product does that, you're being self-centered. Your prospect won't see himself benefiting from your product. There's an old saying in the "business" that, "a copywriter is a salesperson sitting in front of a typewriter." True, few of us are using typewriters these days. The principal, however, remains unchanged. If all we're doing is sales, albeit transmitted through a written or broadcast medium, then we'd better know what we're doing. 1. Qualify the prospect. How you write your copy, and the ratio of hard selling to information-based soft selling, will change with the medium you're working in. But the first thing your copy should do is state outright what business you're in and what you're selling. Ask Questions, then Shut-up and Listen You're nothing more than a salesperson. First, what type of customer are they? Are they ready to make an immediate buy? Are they information shopping, looking for a great deal? Are they even looking for our product or service? What Does This Have to Do with Copywriting? After you've explained the last product benefit, you (as the salesperson) are obligated to close the deal. The way you do that is simply to ask, "Are you ready to make your decision?" or "Is this the product you'd like to buy?" 相关的主题文章: The 6 Ways Winners Plan For Success_51 (http://malaysia-student.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=42&pid=1942&page=9&extra=page%3D1#pid1942)

The National Archives, franklin marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com), which holds all of the US government's records, helps in their quest Susan Logue Koster | Washington, franklin & marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com), DC 13 May 2010Americans are turning to the Internet and federal records, like these military documents, to learn more about their ancestors.Related LinksNational Archives Who Do You Think You Are? Watch: Logue Koster Video ReportWindows Media The U.S. government is conducting its census this year. The count takes place every 10 years to determine how many seats each state will have in the House of Representatives. But in 72 years, when the 2010 census becomes public, it's very likely that average Americans will use the information to search for their family roots. A popular hobby For two days in April, more than 2,000 people came to the National Archives for the Sixth Annual Genealogy Fair, a free event with dozens of experts offering advice to Americans researching their family history. "We get more people every year," says Constance Potter. An archivist who specializes in documents of interest to genealogists, Potter says the first genealogy fair attracted about 500 people. Last year, franklin et marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com), there were 1,500. It was the fifth genealogy fair for Shirley Jones. "You want to know where you came from, who (were) your parents, who your forefathers were. I wanted to know where I came from." Lisa Roy says having children got her interested in genealogy. "When they were born, especially my oldest, I thought I really want my kids to understand their heritage. I knew some of it,polo ralph lauren (http://www.ralphlaurenmagasin.com), but it has been interesting to do the background on it." Websites like Ancestry.com help newbies get launched on family history research. TV launches a craze Many Americans began to search for their ancestors after seeing the 1977 TV program Roots, which dramatized author Alex Haley's family history, from Africa, through slavery in America, to freedom. "That was the first thing that created "roots" mania in America," says professional genealogist Megan Smolenyak. "Now we're experiencing a whole new wave, a fresh influx." Smolenyak has researched the family history of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. She is an advisor on two new television series reflecting the renewed interest in genealogy. Both Who Do You Think You Are? and Faces of America explored the family histories of celebrities. The National Archives holds annual genealogy fairs to help people learn more about searching for their roots. Already a big hit in the United Kingdom, where it originated, Who Do You Think You Are? has been renewed for a second season on American TV. Smolenyak hopes the new shows will spark some fresh recruits to family history, but she says the current surge of interest has more to do with the internet. Connecting to the past through the web "You can get a running start with what is online." She notes that Ancestry.com, one of the paid membership sites researchers can use, has over four billion records. "It's nice, you can sit at home and search in your pjs (pajamas), go through census records and that sort of thing." Smolenyak, who is chief family historian for Ancestry.com, says people spend millions of hours on that site every month, but you can't find everything online, which is why people often end up at the National Archives. The National Archives has 10 billion records including census documents, military records, ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.ralphlaurenmagasin.com), passenger lists for immigrants arriving by ship and naturalization records. The Archives has digitized more than 100,000 records, which are available on its website for free, louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com/), but archivist Constance Potter says, franklin marshall pas cher (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com), that's just a fraction of the 10 billion it holds. There are not only census records, but military records, passenger lists for immigrants arriving by ship between 1820 and 1959, and naturalization records. For the most part, polo ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.ralphlaurenmagasin.com), if a researcher's ancestor hand interaction with the U.S. government, there is likely to be a record of it in the National Archives. Carol Ann Summer and her friend Bobbie Bold came looking for military records. Bold is looking for records from the U.S. Civil War (1861-1865). Summer is looking through microfilm for documents from the late 18th century, when the United States was becoming a new nation. "There he is. We found him," she says after scanning a spool of film through a viewer in a darkened room. "I wanted to get that last relative," Summer says, "and that was this one from the Revolutionary War, so I'm tickled. I don't think I can go back any farther with my father's family, but I'll keep trying." Archivist Constance Potter isn't surprised that Summer isn't ready to give up entirely. She says genealogy can be addictive. "You find one thing out and it can lead to something else. It's like a detective story. It really is. And you just keep adding on the clues." And those clues help researchers understand not only where they came from, but who they are. With everyone spending more than they save, christian louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), its no wonder that credit card debt is at an all time high. But just because everyone else is in trouble doesnt make it a non-issue. Credit card debt not only ruins your credit score, but it can also hurt your future and your sense of security as well. The precious credit score The newest number that everyone is talking about is their credit score. With a good credit score, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), you can get better credit card offers, better interest rates for houses and cars, louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), and you can get bigger loans than others with lower credit scores. And the truth is that most people dont know what their credit score is. When you carry high balances on your credit cards, polo ralph lauren uk (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), these balances are reported back to the credit reporting agencies that in turn make adjustments to your credit score. If you have large balances, it looks like youre living beyond your means and thus youre not a good candidate for future loans and your score is lowered. If you have low balances (less than 50% of the limit) and pay your bills on time, you will raise your credit score. Making larger investments If you dream of owning a home or a new car, louboutin chaussure pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), you need to pay down that credit card debt. In order to get these kinds of large loans, polo ralph lauren shirts (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), banks need to know that you are responsible with money and will be able to pay off your loan as you promise. By having credit card debt, christian louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), it seems as though you arent able to live on what you can afford and thus will probably not be reliable with paying off your loan. And if you do get the loan, the interest rate is much higher for the borrower that has credit card debt. In case you cant pay off the loan, the bank will want to make more money off you when you do make payments. Your sense of security No one needs the added stress of whether or not they can afford to pay the minimum balance on their credit card. And with a little planning a discipline, louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), credit card debt can be managed and eliminated. You can start with cutting up those credit cards and start using real money to make way for the future that you deservehouses, cars, and a good nights sleep. 相关的主题文章: tid=-1- did=-21788053- fid=-1666--重庆房产税改革有望本季度启动_2358 (http://www.our6613.net/read.php?tid=174405&page=e&#a) 高考零分说 - 杂文 _26413 (http://www.wwesp.com/bbs//viewthread.php?tid=828419&pid=1482846&page=1&extra=page%3D1#pid1482846) US Commander Says Stopping Iraqi Bombings Is Top Priority_14629 (http://losprincipesent.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-1837)

First, we have to look at the trust instrument. (3) In extraordinary circumstances calling for equitable relief. I am often amused by the ads and offers I see concerning living trusts. http://www.LivingTrustSecrets.com So, first, we look to the trust instrument. Often it will specify a fee. Sometimes it will say .75% to 1.25% of the total value of the assets being managed and transferred (since this is the typical fee charged by the professional trust companies run by many banks). Basically, the question is "How much can a trustee charge to handle an estate after a death?" Phil Craig (1) Where the duties of the trustee are substantially different from those contemplated when the trust was created. The better ones are fairly specific and make a distinction between acting as trustee while the beneficiary is alive, but incompetent, and acting as trustee after a death has occurred (similar actions to what an executor performs through a probate). In fact, let's see what California law tells us about trustee fees (every state will have a statute, mercurial vapor (http://www.nike-football-store.com), go to your county law library and ask the law librarian to help you look it up). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Let's save the discussion of trustees fees charged for managing an incompetent's estate for a future article. Let's get down to answering the above question. This article needs to be continued since we haven't even touched on the big m*ney m*ker for trustees and attorneys, "extraordinary fees." So to answer the question, we have to find out what the trust instrument says. If it is silent, then Section 15681 tells us the compensation is to be "reasonable compensation under the circumstances." Not so. Most competently drawn trust instruments will have a section that deals with trustee fees. Almost always, one of the big sales pitches is how a living trust will save th*usands of doll*rs in "nasty" probate fees. Good luck and until next time, cheap polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), Great question. Often one of the biggest, if not the biggest, areas of dispute between children or heirs after a death occurs. ** Attn Ezine editors / Site owners ** Feel free to reprint this article in its entiretyin your ezine or on your site so long as you leaveall links in place, do not modify the content andinclude our resource box as listed above. Here's an email I received from one of my subscribers (she has given me permission to discuss her question in this article): (b) Upon proper showing, the court may fix or allow greater or lesser compensation than could be allowed under the terms of the trust in any of the following circumstances: What is a trustee fee? How is it calculated? Are there other fees? This leads the consumer to believe that you pay for probate, soccer cleats (http://www.nike-football-store.com), but living trusts are "fr*e." (that is, after you've paid the promoter to set one up for you). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Phil Craig is a licensed attorney and entrepreneur. He started practicing law at age 25 in 1979. He does not take on any more clients, louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com), but isadvisor to some of the biggest names in the internetworld. He shares his knowledge gained over thelast 25 years at his Living Trust Secrets newsletter site:click here=========>http://www.LivingTrustSecrets.com If you do use the material please send us a noteso we can take a look. Thanks. If you have a trust and don't know the answer to these questions, nike mercurial vapor (http://www.nike-football-store.com), I think the proper thought is "Uh-ohh!" (2) Where the compensation in accordance with the terms of the trust would be inequitable or unreasonably low or high. OK,nike soccer cleats (http://www.nike-football-store.com), let's have a quick review of trustee fees. 15680. (a) Subject to subdivision (b), if the trust instrument provides for the trustee's compensation, the trustee is entitled to be compensated in accordance with the trust instrument. In California, the law of living trusts is contained in the Probate Code. Here is what Probate Code Sections 15680-82 tells us: How do we answer this? And, even if the trust instrument said 10%, I would seriously consider asking a court to change the compensation per 15680 (b) (2) that allows the court to change compensation "Where the compensation in accordance with the terms of the trust would be inequitable or unreasonably low or high." First let's make a distinction between the times a trustee may be called upon to act. So,football cleats (http://www.nike-football-store.com), it looks like the answer to the question is that if the trust instrument says the 1st trustee is entitled to 10% compensation, then she may be. However, if it doesn't then the amount to be charged must be reasonable. Here it is again: 15681. If the trust instrument does not specify the trustee's compensation, the trustee is entitled to reasonable compensation under the circumstances. (c) An order fixing or allowing greater or lesser compensation under subdivision (b) applies only prospectively to actions taken in administration of the trust after the order is made. ?Phil Craig, All Rights Reserved P.S. Feel free to forward this on to any friends. Hi Phil,My mom passed away recently and my sister is 1st trustee. She claims she gets 10% of my mom's estate as 1st trustee. Is this true? What is the normal fee for 1st trustee? Hi Phil,My mom passed away recently and my sister is 1st trustee. She claims she gets 10% of my mom's estate as 1st trustee. Is this true? What is the normal fee for 1st trustee? What is reasonable under the circumstances? If it were me, I would gather up the brochures of the various bank trust departments in the area to determine their rates. Where I live, the fee is .75% to 1.20%, depending on the size of the trust and the type of assets. The minimum is $5,000. Remember,Christian Louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutin-pascher.com), one of the best uses of a trust is to manage the assets of someone who is incapacitated. My best friend and his sister have been managing their mother's affairs (as trustees) for the last 10 years. Storing your fine wine Storage of wines is not complicated, louboutin chaussure (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), but there are some things you should keep in mind to ensure your wine fares well. There are four main elements you need to ensure you control in order to store wine for long periods: Position, louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), temperature, light, christian louboutin (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), and humidity. Follow these simple rules to protect your wines so that they will taste the very best when it comes time to enjoy them. Position and Peace First is position, louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), bottles should be kept horizontal in a safe area, polo ralph lauren uk (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), where they will not be disturbed. They need be laying horizontally so that the wine is always in contact with the cork, which keeps the cork from drying out. This is important because if the cork dries out then it let in wild yeast, fungus, polo ralph lauren shirts (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), or bacteria that will create off flavors in your wine. You will also want to ensure the wine can lie undisturbed for a long time. As wine ages, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenshop.co.uk), it will continue to change in the bottle and will form sediments. You want these sediments to sink to the bottom of the bottle and stay there so when you pour an old wine into the decanter you will not foul it with the lees. Although a wine rack is not required, it is worth the investment. Your wines can be nicely organized and kept safer from accidental breakage. Temperature Wines should also be kept away from heat sources and temperatures that are too cold. You don't want them stored in any area that freezing temperatures might occur and cause bottle to break. Too, avoid heat above 64F in order to ensure the wine does not get cooked, another way wine can develop off flavors. The goal is a constant temperature, away from sunlight. Dedicating a cabinet area that is low and safe form heat would work well. Also, there are many wine refrigerators on the market that will keep your wines stored in perfect conditions until you are ready to enjoy them. Light and Humidity Light and humidity both affect wine to a lesser, but still significant degree. Wine stored in direct sunlight can undergo changes to the plant based compounds in the wine. Very strong sunlight for long periods can have adverse affects on both the aroma and body of the wine. Humidity should be kept high enough to ensure the cork does not shrink from the outside. But too high a humidity will encourage wild yeast, fungus, and bacteria growth that could promote spoilage. Aiming for 30-60% humidity is ideal. Of course, louboutin chaussure pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpaschera.com), if you can do it, a wine cellar is ideal. This is not just a generic term for a place to keep wine. A cellar (below ground) is best because generally temperatures are cooler and more constant. The cellar or basement of a dwelling is also protected from damaging sunlight. You will be rewarded if you take the time to store your wine properly because the bottles will age well until you decide to open a bottle. It takes little effort to treat your wines well, but it will help protect your investment and make your drinking experience much more pleasurable. About two weeks after China's Ministry of National Defense confirmed its program to refurbish an ex-Soviet aircraft carrier, the still unfinished vessel commenced its maiden sea trial on Wednesday morning from Dalian of northeast Liaoning Province where the carrier was docked. While some neighboring countries have expressed concern over the growth of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, such as Japan's most recent defense white paper, Peter Singer, a senior fellow in foreign policy at the Washington-based Brookings Institution, told Xinhua that he didn't believe the Chinese carrier was a source that could worsen the current situation in the Asia-Pacific region. "One should not be surprised that China, whose military and economic power has grown immensely over the last decades, would want to join the 'carrier club' along with states like the US, UK, Brazil, India, France," Singer said in an email. It's an understandable ambition from a strategic and national prestige standpoint for China to develop aircraft carrier, he said. Currently, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Spain, Italy, India, Brazil and Thailand, operate a total of 21 active-service aircraft carriers. Japan's Maritime Self-Defense Force currently has two 18,000-metric ton Hyuga-class helicopter carriers, although the warships are classified by Japan as "helicopter destroyers." Once the still-unnamed carrier is delivered to the PLA Navy, China will be the last among the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council to possess an aircraft carrier. The Asia-Pacific is also an area where aircraft carriers frequently cruise. The nuclear-powered supercarrier USS George Washington has been forward deployed at Japan's Yokosuka, and other U.S. carriers visit the area from time to time for military exercises, deterrence, as well as port calls and humanitarian aids. "I don't think the carrier itself is a source of tension with the US," Singer said. "I think the greater sources of regional tension remain the behavior and unresolved maritime claims." According to Singer, such sources include the conduct of the navies in the South China Sea and sea disputes between China and some of its neighboring states. China signed an agreement with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2002 at Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, which seeks regional stability by resolving disputes in the South China Sea in a peaceful way. The agreement, Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea, asked all concerned countries to maintain self-restraint and not to conduct activities that would complicate or escalate disputes such as inhabiting the uninhabited islands and reefs. "Tensions between Japan, the Philippines or Vietnam were there before the carrier," Singer said, noting that China's neighboring countries may look at the carrier with some apprehension, but none should blame the carrier for tensions in the South China Sea. Chinese military scholars told Xinhua that China's carrier program was for the sake of its own maritime interests. "China's future aircraft carrier would only add stable factors to the Asia-Pacific region and the world peace," said Cao Weidong, a researcher of the PLA Navy's Academic Research Institute. "Compared with the U.S. and other carrier-savvy navies, China is just a beginner in operating an aircraft carrier," Cao said. To fuel its fast growing economy, China is increasingly reliant on natural resources imported through maritime transport routes from overseas. The PLA Navy has deployed its task forces in rotation since the end of 2008 to the Gulf of Aden and waters off the coast of Somalia to escort Chinese and foreign merchant vessels transiting. "We have learned from the escort missions and other operations, such as evacuating citizens from Libya, that an aircraft carrier is something that the navy needs," Cao said, adding that the weapon platform will also be a necessary tool for the country to safeguard territorial waters and maritime transport routes.

Metal Detecting for fun or profit can be one of the most exciting and rewarding of hobbies. A metal detector can cost very little, as low as $50 or higher that $400 for a top of the line model. This is one hobby where you really do get what you pay for, because the more expensive top of the line detectors use the most advanced technology and they have the best features available. Metal Detectors use one of three types of technology: BFO (Beat Frequency Oscillation) - Metal Detectors using BFO technology have two coils of wire, one large coil is located in the search coil of the detector, the other small coil of wire is located within the System Control Pack. Each coil of wire is connected to an oscillator that produces pulses of current. These pulses of current pass through the coils generating radio waves. A receiver housed within the System Control Pack receives the radio waves and makes a series of tones based upon the frequencies of the radio waves. When the detector search coil passes over a coin or other metal item a magnetic field is created around the coin or metal item, this magnetic field causes interference with the frequency of the radio waves generated by the search coil. And changes the tone produced by the reciever. Metal Detectors using BFO technology are the ones your likely to get when paying under $100 for, chaussures football (http://www.chaussuresfootballmagasin.com), that's right, the cheapies. The BFO technology is the easiest and cheapest to make, thus the prices of the detectors are cheap. The only problem is, BFO technology is very limited when compared to PI and BFO detectors, and the ability to distinguish between junk metals and silver or other coins is very poor. PI (Pulse Induction) - Metal Detectors using PI technology sometimes use a single coil or a series of coils working together as a transmitter and receiver. Short bursts of electrical current are send through a coil of wire, causing a magnetic field. When the burst of electrical current ends the magnetic field reverses polarity. A sharp electrical spike is created, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenpaschern.com), then more pulses are created, the whole process repeats and works like a series of echoes, giving a different report or echo depending upon the metal it encounters. This type of metal detector is not very good for discrimination between different types of metals or coins, but it is good to use where some other types of metal detectors have trouble working, such as in salt-water,polo ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.poloralphlaurenpaschern.com), and metals can be detected much deeper with this technology than the others. VLF (Very Low Frequency) - Metal Detectors using this technology have two search coils. One coil called the 'transmitter coil' transmits electricity rapidly many times per second, first in one direction around the coil, then in the other direction. The other coil called the 'Receiver Coil' acts just like the name implies it receives frequencies or data that come or 'bounce' back from the objects the transmitter coil detects in the search area. This type of Metal Detector is great for it's ability for being able to distinguish between different types of metals. The first metal detector my wife and I bought together cost about $69.00 it was one of them cheap ones that used the 'BFO' technology. This was one of them metal detectors you see in the magazines that sell other household items, etc. You can buy cheap metal detectors like these at most Radio Shack stores, and some K Marts and Wal Marts. The first day we took the metal detector outside we started finding some neet things and my wife and I were hooked. We did find our share of junk items in the yard, like aluminum foil, nails and the usual pull tabs and junk metal. But we also found 7 old diecast cars in great condition. They were all different and were 'TOOTSIE' diecast vehicles. I looked on eBay and the bunch was worth around $15 or more. We also found a 1961 silver Roosevelt dime in fine condition, polo ralph lauren (http://www.ralphlaurenmagasin.com), in our yard, ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.poloralphlaurenpaschern.com), plus the usual pennies. After reading about how the 3 different types of Metal Detector technologies work and differ from each other, you must decide how or what you will be mostly using your metal detector for. Will you be hunting for small objects like coins, jewelry and gold nuggets, or searching for a large cache or object. The things you may want to use your detector for, mercurial vapor (http://www.chaussuresfootballmagasin.com), play one of the most important factors besides pricing in deciding what type of detector to buy. Most folks want a detector that is great at finding coins, franklin et marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallboutiques.com), gold nuggets, and jewelry on the land and in small creeks and streams, this would be a detector using 'VLF' technology. Almost all of the modern detectors have a waterproof search coil which make searching in shallow creeks and streams possible. There is Computer Software that is made just for the hobby of Metal Detecting. The software is called: Metal Detector - Treasure Hunter Professional, franklin and marshall (http://www.franklinmarshallsale.org), and may be seen at this website address:http://www.rb59.com/software By Robert W. Benjamin Copyright ?2005 Robert W. Benjamin has been in the software business on the internet for over 5 years, and has been producing low-cost software for the past 25+ years.
