Moon grass, I like these three words , one as bad , even as the word look more perfect.
day is the sun ,franklin & marshall (http://www.franklinetmarshalle.com/), of course, abercrombie and fitch (http://www.abercrombieandfitchefrance.com), is on the moon, a symbol of green grass .
If they are reduced to the pictograph , Japan is a little middle of a circle , the moon on a curved shape , the grass is two held hands tightly cross- linked .
I also think : Japan is the father , on her mother , while the grass is their children. Moon and how it will be no grass ? The sun and the moon is not the grass , what is the point? They cling to each other , but also is an equilateral triangle , the three pillars ,giubbotti moncler donna (http://www.giubbottimonclersito.com/), support each other ! That is, a happy family of three is a happy little family of three World !
moon grass, it is like a star in heaven when hidden, and sometimes hide a rest , thinking ; sometimes blinked to see the world ,franklin et marshall (http://www.franklinetmarshalle.com/)! Also as a small object in the universe as charming ... ...
new understanding of the human universe, often , a new discovery. The sun and the moon in this charming little grass will not know what objects change , and what will dedicate to the world? The world will not treat him? Wait and see it.
my world ,piumini moncler (http://www.giubbottimonclersito.com/), the moon and the grass is my favorite , is my most painful , it must be my most sensitive nerve Flanagan . To everyone not only how the grass for the sun and moon are my line ! I will get angry with others ,franklin marshall pas cher (http://www.franklinetmarshalle.com/), for him I would condone ,moncler quincy (http://www.doudounemonclerquincy.com)! Also do not understand how could this be ?
moon grass, I only sing for you , for your thoughts, want to hold you in my arms , kiss you face !
I love the sun and the moon grass, sun and moon I would like grass, I can not let that moon grass. I always like the moon and the grass is very good ,franklin marshall (http://www.franklinetmarshalle.com/)! Previous: leaves and wind Next: hurt you is my sin相关的主题文章:

Matilda Cuomo, founder of Mentoring USA
Matilda Cuomo - wife, mother, teacher and former first lady of New York State - has perhaps had the most far-reaching impact as founder of Mentoring USA, which has trained volunteer mentors for more than 5,000 schoolchildren nationwide.
Matilda Cuomo was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1931. Despite the bleak economic conditions, her mother, christian louboutin (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), an Italian immigrant, and her father, the child of immigrants, christian louboutin pas cher (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), were intent on realizing the American dream for themselves and their five children.
"I was very fortunate in that regard. They suffered and struggled and sacrificed so much," she says . "They put five children through college without a Pell Grant or government help. You have to honor them for that and appreciate it and be gratified. So that's how I feel."
Doing whatever is necessary to make life better has been a recurring theme in Cuomo's life - as a teacher, a mother and a mentor. In 1954, she married a young law student named Mario Cuomo whose long public service career eventually led to the New York State governor's mansion.
Looking out for children
After that election in 1982, Cuomo also entered public service as a volunteer advocate for children.
The mid-1980s were a difficult time for New York State. The economy was in recession. Crack addiction was becoming epidemic in the cities. The teen pregnancy rate was soaring, and the high school graduation rate was plummeting to record lows. These trends were deeply disturbing to Governor Cuomo.
"And he said to me one morning, ‘The dropout rate, that's it, I can't stand it, it's intolerable. We must do something.' So I said, doudoune moncler (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), ‘What do you want me to do?' He said, ‘Well, you're a mother of five children. You're a teacher.' He's giving me all my background qualifications. He said, moncler pas cher (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), ‘You have to get a whole board together, non-partisan, the best you can find, Matilda, and have them figure out with you, concern yourselves with, what are we going to do with these children? How do we keep them in school? How do you inspire them about education like our parents did for us?' I said, louboutin pas cher (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), ‘You're right. It can be done. And it should be done.'"
One-on-one mentoring
And so it was. In 1987, Matilda Cuomo helped establish the nation's first statewide school-based one-to-one mentoring program. Its work was guided by Cuomo's belief that a healthy and successful childhood rests on three pillars: a warm and supportive home where the child's welfare is paramount, louboutin (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), a school infused with the joy of learning where respect for the child is coupled with high standards, and a caring community.
"When one of those pillars isn't working or is dysfunctional, trust me, the child suffers," says Cuomo.
She wanted mentors with the state-run program to act as a bridge among all three elements. They would offer the personal support a family member might provide along with the strong focus on academic achievement of a school. She looked for volunteers from the wider community who could expose young students to the larger world beyond their immediate circles.
Cuomo says individual attention provides the most effective mentoring.
"These children do not thrive unless you give them the one-to-one. When a mentor comes, well-trained - we will do that - and says ‘I am here for you. And we are going to work out your problems. We are going to see why you're not doing better in English and math and so forth and you are going to your pass your grade. You are going to do better. You are going to graduate.' This is what I want. This is what I want to see instilled in these children."
Challenging times
The New York State Mentoring Program was hugely successful. Yet when Mario Cuomo left office in 1994, the new governor cut funding for the program. This was a difficult time for Matilda Cuomo. She considered giving up the project, until her son Andrew - who is now the governor of New York State himself - gave her a pep talk.??
"He said ‘That's your baby. You nurture babies. You don't ever leave them, Mom. So you have to keep it going.' I said ‘What am I going to call it?' He said ‘Mentoring USA. Now you can go national.'"
Today, Mentoring USA works with youth in seven states, and Cuomo expects that more states will be signing on soon. She sums up her attitude with an Italian expression she often heard from her father: "passa ci sopra," roughly meaning, "keep on going, doudoune moncler pas cher (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), never give up."

Why are we women so cruel to each other when it comes to mothering?
As Editor-in-Chief of fashion magazine Elle and a mum to three young children, Lorraine Candy's life is a chronic juggling act. In a new weekly column, she reveals what life is really like for working mothers. Lorraine lives in North London with her husband James, an IT specialist. Lurking in the complicated, emotional world that is motherhood, there is layer upon layer of competitiveness I hadn't acknowledged before. It's not just as simple as working mums versus non-working mums. There's a sort of scale of superiority among us that we rely on to feel better about the way we're parenting. We use it to limit personal guilt, christian louboutin pas cher (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), or fears that we might have got some of our mothering wrong. This female one-upmanship is further proof, I fear, that the 'sisterhood' is a myth.Women aren't very nice to other women when it comes to mothering. I came to this conclusion after chatting to other mums while picking up my daughters from a party. We were having a 'how much time I spent with them this summer' conversation. I found myself explaining, like a defendant in court, moncler quincy (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), that I finish at 5pm every day (I rarely have lunch hours so the work always gets done), and I have every other Friday off.Add in the three weeks away with them and we've had a great family summer. I was disturbed that I felt strangely pleased to hear that another mother had not seen her children that week, as she'd been away for work and they'd been at their grandparents'.This is not a sisterly feeling: it's totally unsupportive, moncler (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), actually. It made me question if motherhood is today about being able to say 'At least I see my children more than she does'?Does that attitude make for a society more supportive of women? I don't think so, but I think we are all guilty of those feelings.HealthTop TipsNutritionLoveLifestyleHappinessWeight Loss It's a scale of competitiveness where full-time working mother vs part-time working mother comes just below working mum vs non-working mum.Followed by variations of 'full-time but I put them to bed each night' vs 'I'm home too late to do that'. There are the non-working mums who have help (childminders etc) vs those who don't; the working mums who use grandma vs the working mums who have nannies ('strangers' in the eyes of the critical). All of it is about being able to say that somewhere out there is a mum who spends less time with her children than you do. Therefore, you are a better mother. But is time the issue? Maybe the mum who didn't see her kids for a week is a better mother than me in other ways.Perhaps she grumbles less, cooks more. Maybe she is able to get up at 5am and not be a zombie by 5pm. Maybe she doesn't threaten to put everything left on the bedroom floor in a bin bag. When I got home, I dug out one of those 'how to raise a perfect child and never have a moment's doubt' self-help books. In it,louboutin pas cher (http://www.christianlouboutinenlignes.com/), the psychologist explained that child-rearing is a series of letting go. It's about them being independent and confident enough to go out in the world and survive happily without you. They need to think for themselves (the kids of working mums are often very good at this, the chapter mentioned).Who knew? One in five stay-at-home mothers say they need to find work because their partners job is insecure, according to the Women Like Us careers website? The conclusion seemed to be that there is (apart from obvious abuse) no wrong and no right way of doing it. Just pointers on the 'letting go' journey. No strong evidence either way of working or non-working being best. No winner, in other words. Why, then, are we so competitive about it? I see further evidence of this lack of support for each other all over the motherhood websites. The comments from women about other mothers can be appalling: vitriolic and verging on bullying. Some of them are Dickensian in their opinions, too. If men had logged those comments, we'd be outraged.I'm amazed at the rudeness some women display when they talk about other women in these online forums - women they have never met and know nothing about. It's pretty hurtful,Abercrombie (http://www.abercrombieandfitche.com), aggressive and personal stuff from the so-called sisterhood. Do they do it because it makes them feel better about themselves? Is it jealousy of other people's lives? Who knows?I think it's time we toned down the vitriol. The trouble with motherhood is there is no end result, no chart of comparison that says you did it brilliantly or terribly. How can you ever know if you've got it right? It's partly the roll of the genetic dice that determines if they'll turn into happy grown-ups or not.Maybe, as my seven-year-old would say, it's time to 'chillax'. I think she learnt that from Hannah Montana. Yes, I know it's outrageous that I go to work and let my children watch TV!

The Problem: Political conventions are a spectacle, and spectacles don't exactly lend themselves to environmental consciousness.
Resomation
Eco Craziness: 1/5. Innovation and creativity earn this dance club a different kind of rave.
The Problem: You're all set for an amorous evening: Candles lit, music playing, mood set. If only nagging worries over the environmental consequences of your lovemaking didn't spoil the passion! Condoms are made of latex, produced — often unsustainably — from rubber trees. Lubricants contain petroleum byproducts and chemical compounds that some say are harmful to health. Buzzkill.
Reusable Toilet Wipes
The Solution: Perhaps its the long, lonely hours spent cooped up at the drawing board, but designers have come up with two separate proposals to harness the power of the common brassiere. The first, a Japanese proposal, is designed to cut down on the amount of chopstick waste in a country partial to the utensil. Triumph Japan has produced a bra built with a chopstick pocket for women to carry their own reusable utensils with them at all times. An added perk: the company says the chopsticks will help support the breasts and will "accentuate cleavage."
The Solution: Japanese researchers developed a race car that runs on cooking oil from tempura — a popular Japanese method of frying fish and vegetables. They entered the car in the famed Paris-to-Dakar rally in 2007 as a way of raising awareness about biofuels, which researches say burns cleaner than fossil fuel and without as many harmful emissions. Tempura oil is particularly well suited to Japan — the food is hugely popular, making the cooking oil readily available.
The Solution: Europeans use toilet paper with a greater proportion of recycled fiber. But for the true eco-warrior, there's an even more environmentally friendly solution — reusable toilet wipes. Made of cloth, moncler pas cher (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), reusable wipes offer all the comfort of the triple-ply, ultra-quilted toilet paper roll with none of the nasty tree-killing consequences. Instead, doudoune moncler (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), there's only the little matter of storing and washing dozens of waste-covered pieces of cloth. Every week. It's a tough sell, but one manufacturer promises they don't stink and sells wet bags to contain the dirty wipes.
The Solution: Submerge the body in alkali and water. Add pressure and heat. Let simmer until liquefaction. The process, called resomation, moncler (http://www.doudounemonclerquincy.com/), reduces the body to a fluid of biological compounds and remnant calcium from the bones. The fluid can be used as a fertilizer and the calcium discarded without environmental harm, polo ralph lauren homme (http://www.poloralphlaurenvendres.com), or even put in an urn like ashes. Practitioners say the process is energy efficient, with limited carbon emissions and no harmful mercury use like burial or cremation. Heaven for the eco-conscious.
Urine Batteries
Eco Craziness: 4/5. When it comes to underwear, change is something we ALL can believe in.
The second proposal, dreamed up by San Francisco writer Adrienne So, would use the breasts themselves as a power source. The idea is apparently feasible: a bra made of fabric interwoven with tiny wires can produce electricity from the bosom's natural bouncing motion throughout the day, enough to power a cell phone or an iPod. The larger the cup size, the more energy produced.
The Greenest Convention Ever?
Eco Craziness 2/5. Human urine is certainly not in short supply, and this could eventually lead to cheap, ultra-portable medical tests ready at a moment's notice — as long as you're properly hydrated.
The Problem: Apparently, the world has overlooked the bra as an environmental savior.
Eco Craziness: 5/5. There's no surer way to make your next dinner party your last.
Eco Craziness: 3/5. While the concepts are doable, neither bra will be for sale anytime soon. The eco-friendly bra will remain a figment of lonely engineers' imaginations for a while yet.
The Problem: So much for dust to dust — the modern American way of death isn't very environmentally friendly. A casket and embalming is clearly out — the body, stuffed full of chemicals, doudoune moncler pas cher (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), will linger for years. You may as well forget ashes to ashes, too: cremation creates a mournfully large carbon footprint. What's a felled eco-warrior to do?
The Solution: Again with the urine. This time, at least it's your own. Scientists in Singapore have figured out a way to harness human urine to create a chemical reaction that powers a rudimentary battery. Add a drop of pee to an assembly of copper chloride, magnesium and copper, and voila — it produces as much power as a AA battery. Scientist hope the small rigs can be used for medical applications like disposable at-home testing kits, but they caution more development is still needed.
The Tempuramobile
The Problem: America has a ravenous appetite for comfy toilet paper. The softer, franklin & marshall (http://www.franklinetmarshallfr.com/), the better. But what's good for the tush isn't good for the environment — soft toilet paper doesn't contain any recycled material and is often made from old-growth forests. A waste expert called soft toilet paper "a lot worse than driving a Hummer" in terms of environmental impact.
Doin' the Electric Slide
Eco Craziness: 3/5. Relatively inoffensive and it probably makes for good water-cooler conversation. But aren't there bigger problems to tackle first?
The Solution: Harness the energy on the dance floor. Bar Surya in London re-outfitted its floor with springs that, moncler quincy (http://www.doudounemonclerquincy.com/), when compressed by dancers, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenvendres.com/), produce electrical current that is stored in batteries and used to offset some of the club's electrical burden. The club's owner, Andrew Charalambous, said the dance floor can power 60 percent of the club's energy needs.
The Solution: Eco-condoms and plant lubricant. The French Letter Condom Company offers several varieties of condom, each made with latex from sustainable sources. A portion of the sales of each condom also goes to benefit workers on the latex plantations in Asia. Pair that with Yes Yes Yes lubricant, which is produced from plants and is certified organic.
The Solution: The staple-free stapler promises, at long last, to make collation eco-friendly. Instead of using those thin metal planet-killers, the staple-free stapler "cuts out tiny strips of paper and uses the strips to stitch up to five pieces of paper together." You can even order them customized with your corporate logo so you can, you know, brag about what your company is doing to stop the staple epidemic.
Stapleless Stapler
The Problem: The usual: cars running on fossil fuels.
Sustainable Love
Eco Craziness: 2/5. It may never catch on with the general public, but there's no more better way for an environmentalist to go out than in an eco-conscious ooze of glory.
The Solution: Produce them from pig urine, of course. A Denmark company called Agroplast can take urea compounds — a key component of urine — and use it to produce bioplastics that can be made into biodegradable plates and utensils. Other companies use less cringe-inducing starters like vegetable oil, but the Dutch company says pig urine, fraught with health hazards and high disposal costs unless processed, is a better environmental solution.
The Problem: Many disposable plates and utensils are plastic, which is produced with fossil fuels and does not decompose easily.
The Problem: Staples. Everywhere. Clogging our landfills, polluting our soil, poisoning our bodies, killing the dolphins and gradually blotting out the sun ... wait. Staples? Really?
The Solution: Democrats promised their 2008 convention in Denver would be the "greenest convention in history." Sponsors encouraged attendees to offset their convention travel with carbon credits, while meals were made of locally-grown ingredients, reducing the environmental impact. Denver's Pepsi Center also staffed the convention floor with nearly 950 volunteers to make sure attendees tossed their trash and recyclables responsibly. Less effective, however were the wooden keycards, that replaced the standard hotel-issue plastic cards, and which reportedly splintered easily; or the billboard near Denver that reportedly asked the public to save water by wearing their underwear for four days in a row: forwards one day, backwards the next, then inside out for two more.
The Problem: All the flashing strobes and pounding speakers at your favorite dance club are massive consumers of electrical power.
Bra Power
Eco Craziness 2/5. Entering an experimental car in one of the world's most grueling and dangerous races to prove an environmental point might seem nuts, but driver Ukyo Katayama finished the race 68th out of the field of 109 who finished the arduous course. Many didn't make it the whole way, so perhaps a tempura-powered car is not so crazy after all.
The Problems: Batteries are difficult to dispose of and contain harmful heavy-metal compounds that may leach into the soil.
Eco Craziness: 5/5. The cloth wipes are even sold in "funky and fun" combinations. We're willing to bet they're funky, especially after a week in the wet bag. Fun? Not so much.
Pig Urine Plates
Eco Craziness: 2/5. Finally, guilt-free sex — at least from an environmental perspective.

Some 400 volunteers and staff from the Indonesian Red Cross who were stationed at Mt. Merapi, a volcano located near Yogyakarta, quickly went to the earthquake zone. A spokeswoman for the International Red Cross Federation, Anna Nelson, says the volunteers have treated at least 4,000 injured people. She says various Red Cross societies have rushed tons of food and non-food supplies to the region.
The U.N. children's fund says about 40 percent of the victims are under 18 years of age. The agency has set up a child center in Bantul to provide trauma counseling and recreation for children.
She says the response to the disaster was efficient and rapid. U.N. staff members working on tsunami relief in Indonesia and soldiers from the Indonesian army were immediately dispatched to Java. But Ms. Byrs says many problems lie ahead.

United Nations aid agencies are mobilizing a huge relief operation for the hundreds of thousands of people affected by the devastating earthquake that struck the Indonesian island of Java Saturday. The quake killed more than 5,000 people and left an estimated 200,000 homeless.
"It is the logistic problem,Abercrombie & Fitch (http://www.abercrombieandfitchefrance.com), the rains, the communications, the storage,Abercrombie (http://www.abercrombieandfitchefrance.com), the congestion of the airport and the airstrip and all these usual problems that we meet when there is a disaster," she said.

Damaged roads, heavy storms and rain are complicating the relief effort. Telecommunications are down. Supplies of water and electricity have been affected. Nevertheless, aid is pouring into the area.
The World Health Organization is setting up a disease surveillance system to detect and control outbreaks of communicable diseases. It also will help organize vaccination campaigns against measles, a major killer of children.
"We have a water and sanitation unit on the way which should arrive within the next two days and can produce 600,000 liters of drinking water per day, polo ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.poloralphlaurensboutiquer.com/)," she said. Two-thousand tents have arrived in the earthquake zone and another 10,polo ralph lauren france (http://www.poloralphlaurensboutiquer.com/),000 are on their way. In addition the International Federation has deployed three, what we call, emergency response units to provide assistance in the areas of logistics relief and information and telecommunications."
"Our assessment teams on the ground have indicated that around 100,000 people were directly affected by the earthquake and may require food aid for about two to three months," he said. "The markets in Bantul and Klaten are still closed. That means that all these people who have lost their own food stocks in the earthquake will rely on the emergency food rations."
The United Nations office that is coordinating the relief effort says the situation is under control despite the complexity of the operation. Spokeswoman Elizabeth Byrs says coordination centers have been set up in the city of Yogyakarta, the epicenter of the quake, in the nearby town of Bantul and at the airport.
The World Food Program already has dispatched 70 tons of high-energy biscuits and packets of noodles to the victims. Spokesman, Simon Pluess says a big chartered plane arrived in Java Tuesday carrying more food and tons of non-food items such as blankets, moncler quincy (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com), tents, generators and water pumps.

Ron DiFrancesco's voice softens and trails off. He barely finishes his sentences as he recalls his experience on Sept. 11, 2001. He speaks as if it happened yesterday.
"It was a living hell," he says. "I was mere seconds from death. ... I didn't know I was going to get out."
DiFrancesco is believed to be the last person out of the South Tower of the World Trade Center before it collapsed. According to some reports, he was one of only four people to escape from above the 81st floor.
A decade later, survivor's guilt still weighs heavily on him.
"I will carry with me to my grave whether I should have taken somebody with me," he says, "I still harbor a lot of guilt.
"Time does heal a bit, but it doesn't make you forget what happened. And I think, for our generation, it's our marking point in history. It changed the world that day," he says.
DiFrancesco prefers not to go into detail about his horrifying experience on 9/11. He says it forces him to relive the nightmare. In the past 10 years, he has given only a few interviews, including one for John Geiger's book The Third Man Factor and another for an article in the Ottawa Citizen. Based on those accounts, this is what happened to DiFrancesco:
The first plane had just struck the North Tower, and from his office on the 84th floor of the South Tower, DiFrancesco, a 37-year-old Canadian money-market broker for Euro Brokers, could see smoke billowing from the building. Moments after he left his office to evacuate, the second plane smashed into the South Tower, hitting the building between the 77th and 85th floors.
DiFrancesco was thrown against a wall by the force of the impact, and then he rushed to the nearest stairwell and headed down. On the way, he ran into a group of people trying to escape; they told him to go up the stairs instead, because the flames were too bad below.
As they debated which way to go, they heard someone calling for help. DiFrancesco and his colleague Brian Clark, an executive vice president at Euro Brokers, went to rescue the man, but DiFrancesco became overwhelmed by smoke and had to turn back.
He began to go up the stairs to find clear air, but the doors on each landing were locked, a safety mechanism to keep smoke from filling the whole building in the event of a fire. Panic set in as it became harder to breathe, so he turned around and started back down.
He reached a landing in the impact zone and joined others lying on the floor, gasping for air. But a voice told him to get up and keep going. He ran down the stairs, covering his face with his forearms as he fought through the flames.
Finally he reached the ground floor, where a security guard directed him to a different exit. As he reached it, he heard a giant roar as the building began to collapse. He turned and saw a fireball heading right at him. Days later, he woke up in the hospital with lacerations on his head, burns all over his body, and a broken bone in his back.
Ten years later, DiFrancesco, who is now 47 and living in Toronto, Canada, says the memories and the aftermath of 9/11 permeate his everyday life.
"The scars on my head and my arms remind me every day how fortunate I am," he says. "There are mementos throughout the house. In our living room, we have quite a few pictures of New York and a picture of the World Trade Center. We have a couple of albums of cards that people had sent, and there are some memorial books we look at [too]. They actually gave my wife the watch that was on my wrist on 9/11. It was broken, but it stopped at the exact time the building came down."
But the effects of his experience that day go much deeper than his scars and mementos. DiFrancesco's near-death experience changed his entire outlook on life.
"For me, being so close to death, I don't fear dying or moving on," he says. "When I was almost down and out, I did see the light, and I was prepared to go, but I'm here. … If I was to die tomorrow I would hate leaving my wife and kids, but I don't fear dying now."
DiFrancesco's whole mentality changed, too. He's constantly on alert, even when there's no imminent threat.
"I'm very aware of my surroundings and what's going on, what I'm doing, and what other people are doing," he says. "Whenever I go into a building or a room, I need to know where the exit is, because that day I wasn't in control, and I almost didn't make it out. It's a bit obsessive I think, but it's changed the way I think and the way I act."
Even seemingly normal occurrences cause terrifying flashbacks.
"When I see tall buildings and planes, it jogs my memory," he says. "Loud noises [and chaos] really bother me. I'm a little claustrophobic, so when [I'm] in a big crowd, it gets to me a lot. I also find screaming and yelling really gets to me."
But out of the pain and chaos came compassion, hope, and a deeper meaning to the idea of paying it forward. DiFrancesco and his family have always been religious and involved in community service, but the overwhelming outreach from their friends and neighbors after 9/11 moved them to make it a bigger part of their lives.
"When I was in the hospital, people were taking care of meals for the family, and that went on for months," he says. His community went out of its way to help get the DiFrancesco family back on their feet.
"My car was left at the train station, and my wife didn't know where it was. A neighbor came and found my car and brought it back to us," he explains. "And I only had the one key that was melted in the World Trade Center, so he went and got new keys made for my car."
The lengths to which his community went to support them inspired DiFrancesco and his wife more than ever to pay it forward and to teach their kids to do the same. Now, DiFrancesco is on the board of two charities: Villa Colombo, a home for Italian seniors, and Camp Trillium, a charity that promotes and offers recreational experiences for children with cancer and their families.
For the DiFrancescos, volunteering for Camp Trillium is a family event.
"I participate in this cancer bike ride ... we ride basically 60 miles a day for four days," he says. "My children and my wife are actively involved [too]. My two older children ride with me, and my two younger [kids] and my wife volunteer for the four days."
DiFrancesco has always enjoyed cycling, especially for a good cause, but ever since 9/11, his riding has taken on a different meaning, and he rides for an hour or two almost daily.
"I love the peacefulness of the road, riding my bike, and riding in a pack ... [it's] a bit of healing for me," he says. "I find it cathartic."
The healing process is an ongoing one for his family. Over the years, DiFrancesco and his wife have been collecting friends' and families' stories of how 9/11 affected them -- and may even consider putting them into a book.
"We both find it fascinating what you were doing that day ... people went home, picked up their kids from school, and hugged them and kept them close," he says. "Just hearing [their] stories ... it's interesting to find out what everyone was doing on that day."
There are still questions that may never be answered, and survivor's guilt is ever-present.
"I don't understand all of it," he says. "Why did I survive and 61 of my colleagues didn't?"
For DiFrancesco, though, one message is clear.
"When your number is up, He will call you. Coming so close to death, I believe you can't change destiny," he says. "Be happy with every day we have here."

Echos Transition
Echo was a flea-bitten gray horse, with brown speckles everywhere, and crystal clear hairs in her mane and tail.  We met in October, 1976, when she was a broodmare on an Arabian farm in New York State.  A beginner at riding doesn't usually start out with a novice horse, but I fell in love at first sight of her.  Somehow, over the years, doudoune moncler (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com/), we learned how to have great times and not get in trouble.  We enjoyed trail riding and had fun doing dressage, too.  Echo loved to be ridden and to gallop across field.  She was always as eager for my companionship as I was for hers.October, piumini moncler (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), 1998.  After a summer of dry weather, heavy rain was predicted for the next several days.   That afternoon, I discovered Echo panicked and galloping in her turnout.  She was breathing hard and sweaty under her winter coat.  I walked her out and thought about how difficult the coming winter would be for her.  For the previous six months, she often stumbled on smooth ground.  She was unable to maintain her body temperature if she was slightly damp and the temperature was less than 75 degrees.  Confinement in a stall for any length of time caused her legs to fill up.Echo would be very sore tomorrow and  would be confined to her stall for nearly 5 days due to the weather. The nutritional supplements which reduced her pain and inflammation would not be enough.  I gave her some bute paste and left her in her stall. The next morning, abercrombie et fitch (http://www.abercrombieandfitcheparis.com/), it was pouring rain.  Echo was in her stall and very uncomfortable.  I gave her more bute.  An hour later, I returned to increase the dosage.  I was often aware of Echo's physical needs without consciously asking her about them.  I would just "know", just as I had known this day that she needed a higher level of medication. As I left the barn, I realized that Echo might very likely need constant drugs from now on.  I suddenly suspected she might be ready to leave her body.  For over a week now, when I would ask about her transition, giubbotto moncler (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), she had said "very soon".  The word "very" was new in her answers. I had to find out what she wanted to do.   I also wanted to be sure my own feelings didn't interfere with my telepathic reception. At Home, I prepared for sacred ceremony.  I used Reiki symbols and sage to prepare myself and a sacred space.  I then used a rattle and a mantra to center myself.  I invited all the beings of spirit who work with me and Echo to be present.  Then I spoke with Echo.  She told me that it was time for her to leave, that she was ready, and that she would need help.  I could feel in my own body that this was true, and all my guides confirmed it.As I made the arrangements that day, I became more and more certain that I was doing what Echo wanted.  This certainty was a physical sensation, deep in my gut.  It got stronger and stronger as I made the arrangements for euthanasia.   A personal friend, who is also our veterinarian, would do the task.  I called or e-mailed Echo's and my friends to let them know and to give them an opportunity to say goodbye.  I invited a very few people to be present for this sacred moment. At 7 p.m. the next evening, giubbotti moncler (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), Echo and I, our veterinarian, and two friends, abercrombie fitch france (http://www.abercrombieandfitcheparis.com/), Addy, and Kate, walked with flashlights through runs and pastures until we stood under a large tree near the center of the farm.  The rain had stopped but the air was damp and sky was overcast. When we reached the chosen spot, Echo stood quietly and did not even try to graze, The vet began injecting a large syringe full of euthanasia drug into her jugular vein. Before the injection was completed, Echo went down slowly onto her right side.  Addy put her arm around me for support, as I was still holding the leadrope.  We were all startled -- Echo's legs began moving.  Lying on her side, she was literally galloping, her right feet cutting into the Earth.  She ran and ran and ran, like a plane headed down a runway, taking off for her flight into spirit.  After a long while, her legs finally stopped moving. The vet knelt behind her head and finished the injection.  We all waited quietly for Echo to complete her transition.  Her breaths were long and relaxed, doudoune moncler pas cher (http://www.doudoumonclerquincy.com/), with long pauses every third one or so.  The vet kept trying to close Echo's eyes.   Echo kept opening them.Echo was still with us and was taking her time leaving.  The vet decided to give Echo more drugs.  This meant a long walk back to her van near the barn.  Addy went along to show her the way.  Meanwhile, Kate and I checked out Echo' energetically.   Echo's energy was no longer in her feet or legs or the lower half of her torso.  In the upper half we could still feel her spiritual energy. When Addy and the veterinarian returned, moncler sito ufficiale (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), Echo received a

Li, seeded sixth, lost 6-2, 7-5 to Romania's Halep, suffering first-round exit for the second time in a row.
Li admitted she was losing confidence from her under-par performance since the French Open.
"For me, I really want to do well after Roland Garros. But it's not easy to do. Always easy to say, but always lose early. Now I even lose all the confidence on the court," said Li, who since Roland Garros had not won consecutive matches until last week when she reached the semifinals at New Haven.
"Before the match, I talked to my coach. I say, I didn't have good timing to hit the ball. He tell me everything is perfect, everything is fantastic.
"I say, yes, everything is fantastic, but I always lose first round. I mean, this is not fantastic. I think we need to change something. I think maybe the team or coach just try to give me confidence, but I don't think I get."
The second round at Flushing Meadows will be without all three of this year's major champions. Australian Open winner Kim Clijsters withdrew because of injury, while Wimbledon champ Petra Kvitova lost on Monday.
It's the first time that's happened since 1971.
The 19-year-old Halep beat a top-10 player for the first time in four tries. The Romanian was playing in her second U.S. Open match.

The physician regarded his questioner curiously with half-shut eyes.
After a professional scrutiny, prolonged to the limit of politeness,
'Pardon me,' he said; 'one asking information should be willing to
impart it. Are you wounded?' he added, smiling.
   'Not seriously--it seems.'
The man removed the unmilitary hat, put his hand to his head, passed
it through his hair and, withdrawing it, attentively considered the
palm.
'I was struck by a bullet and have been unconscious. It must have
been a light, glancing blow: I find no blood and feel no pain. I will
not trouble you for treatment, but will you kindly direct me to my
command--to any part of the Federal army--if you know?'
Again the doctor did not immediately reply: he was recalling much
that is recorded in the books of his profession--something about lost
identity and the effect of familiar scenes in restoring it. At length he
looked the man in the face, smiled, and said:
'Lieutenant, you are not wearing the uniform of your rank and
service.'
At this the man glanced down at his civilian attire, lifted his
eyes, and said with hesitation:
'That is true. I--I don't quite understand.'
Still regarding him sharply but not unsympathetically, the man of
science bluntly inquired:
   'How old are you?'

 always uneasy - had tough.
 who murdered my romance.

you always said one day. If we have any edge. Walk around or will return to the other side.
I always Payouyitian. Even if the feelings have not changed. I met someone else after you are met.

I want to love the surface may be uneven, and the moon, a long time, we know she is not beautiful, there is no permanent settlement in which Chang.

has been and would like to find out what we have been pursuing, and when we really see the time, but leaving behind only disappointment Bale. So small and the great love seems to be a brilliant fireworks, loneliness and fleeting than the fireworks, after leaving a gorgeous stretch of endless dark, nothing to do with happiness.

feeling happy and busy on the busy East West.
 feel tired, I'd give myself.
others say, listen to their own decisions casually
do not want to have too much emotion.
a cup of wine with movies.
off in the phone Saturday night on the sofa in the comfortable nest.

love is not so easy, everyone has his temper.
too old to dream of love, vigorous as calm. München
that happiness is not easy, will be particularly fascinating.
 age do not understand anything,
the dig has been the heart so the most fun.
miss the saddest yet most inviting memory.

I've heard it said: love deepest and most important, must grow up with.
also heard it said: I love you not because of who you are, but I am before you are.

listening to a very old song, sang songs, I can think of the most romantic thing is getting old with you.
I think, abercrombie & fitch (http://www.abercrombieandfitchefrance.com), so time after years of growing old together, our love will still heat up, it's still warm and overflowing will be happy.
and I will be there in every morning eagerly waiting for the sunset, waiting for us to come in the last leg of happiness.

ear was filled with waves of music, the familiar melody, the lyrics are familiar, but you're not here.
mind with our swing through bit by bit, joy, smile, sorrow, tears ... ...
I know that this meet, so that the soul fit, this carries into the heart, perhaps no edge were encountered.

perhaps, piumini moncler (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), the world, you are a person. But for me, you may be the world.
you, you are everything. When you are not, and everything is you. Miss your mood, it is blue.
In fact, I do not want much, just want you to love me. Or, please remember I love you like.

I was inarticulate children, too much happiness and good potential of keeping everything, quiet self-satisfaction.
those who want to tell you about my little happiness, you want to tell you after those who are satisfied and want to tell you you have a sky blue in the peace of mind at ease.
However, all of which I do not know how to speak to you as well, I hope I do not say you know.

me and you, in going around in circles around the circle after experiencing so, I want to know yourself and only you will allow me to rely on the shoulders of the best.
This time, do not want to fuss, take your hand to go along with the terminal.
not optimistic about even the people around us, even if there are too many people think we are too hasty impulse, and I still believe you are my life in that Mr.Right.

Perhaps for now you and me, have been desperate to love a vigorous old age.
you say, only the steady temperature falling flat light of love can last forever, so I am willing to believe.

love and dreams are wonderful things, do not listen, needless to say, do not have to be translated, you can feel and touch to it.
me and you are only after having met someone else, understand each other more than anyone else the importance of no longer hands decided to let go.

you say we have had the deepest love that person, all have been unable to cover the wound, pain in the prolonged time that slowly healing, forming a dark brown scar.
I have been trying to ignore your tolerance to the impact of scars on me,giubbotti moncler uomo (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), but can not avoid the feeling that it is latent in the body Guchong tear, interfering with my thoughts and behavior.

not want anyone to tell me that, whether patriotic in fact not so important, because many people who find a mutual love with life.
do not want the world to each other in the vanity of two minds of the helpless, because I wanted a single-minded stubbornly persists.
do not want to erase the past that can not be happy that we are now a small defect, I want a perfect love.

have been open-minded that I could let go of your past, abercrombie and fitch paris (http://www.abercrombieandfitchefrance.com), as you can accept me once more. However, I gradually began to understand the fact his heart is not strong enough, even begun serious worry about the outcome.
I began to frequent speculation that the person you have heart, what in your heart how deep the seat share, frequent measure of how hard you have to love her, and frequently than you have given her time and now I of the good.
your past, become the remnants of the dark shadow in my heart, do not know when it was able to dissipate.

Some people say that when you look at a person, how it all seems so cute, no matter what you do,moncler sito ufficiale (http://www.giubbottimonclersitou.com/), you find it very funny, as long as he is naturally at your side, you will feel very happy that is that you really love him.
was skeptical of these things, always feel that no matter how two people fall in love again, you can always see his face or body nuisance, but now I watch you every day, but only whether the endlessly feel cute.

each of us is a gear, are looking for another gear with the rotation.
We all want to meet other appropriate size scale may be some gear to fill the gap, the gap can be polished some gear and some gear not natural size, the more painful the longer grinding until they have become the discus.
I think we also belong to the former or the latter, the heart better than anyone else to understand.

has been my life there is a neutral, wait for a suitable person entered.

do not want to start a casual affair, instant noodles do not want to start love and want to find a rotation with the gear, to watch a film together, to walk hand in hand together, to go shopping, abercrombie (http://www.abercrombieandfitchimagasin.com/), and to bicker with the , able to withstand the blow I can feel bad I can cook and washing dishes for my laundry ... ...

love, always vigorous from the initial to the final of the bland, I fear In the fall of their own world of love, and beauty and ugliness can not distinguish good and bad.

young ignorant, who has a personal heart, that kind of feeling is love.

years later, before you wake up to meet those silent love.

So desperate to be together with you, time to flee after the discovery, everything is too late, we never going first simple and beautiful.

I understand, there are many people who have lived in the flat and primitive, in this world, the firm's time to face the rush dies and unpredictable things.

only in luxury to the glitz of the city behind, you want to find a way of life of their own, but also how how difficult.

walked on the loose, and remembered and remembered to forget, looking at tired, she listens to wake up. Back, and find you gone, youth far away, memories faded, inner space, and even the world is dark. Everything is not smooth flowing calm people, louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpascheri.com), I cannot in the missing years.

days now, confused barren. Day and night, reciprocating cycle never stops. Scavengers are not happy that we can not avoid those who do not belong to our bit of gorgeous looks slowly from the hands of the passage of time. In many cases, want to escape, like the wind, in an evening filled with water that suddenly disappeared in the alley. However, the monotonous like a lie in the life of a great watershed, is a silent and long stretches of mountains,Christian Louboutin pas cher (http://www.chaussurelouboutinpascheri.com), placid, quiet, gentle attitude to occupy the main theme of my life.

life, never as we wish. Man those dark, dark things, always inadvertently broken all expectations and the only hope, it was that desperate. But desperation can easily say but difficult to achieve real, because we are not decisive and the woman, can not pull off, it can not complete. I do not want to say desperate, I just want to persist with a calm, unwavering.

the pain inside me into a shut up in silence, want to escape, like heavy crying, hysterical, shouted abuse, can I still just over his last poppy-like erosion of the wounds, to remain silent. In the dark and wet inside, I lost myself, can not see your face can not see my future.

always thought that the more memory will be richer, that the kite's line is never broken, it will be like old times as always engraved in mind. But I eventually chose to pick up the suitcase, carrying helpless, confused and carrying through the antique city, to I do not know the future.

remember does not take away part of your world. Like this sentence. I did not leave the flowers are still blooming, the first ray of sunshine in the morning in the full bloom of pride.

I understand the journey of life, each person's growth is accompanied by pain strikes, each have a feeling, a sadness hidden. I often comfort the injured woman around, but can not heal their wounds at the moment the great inner derivatives. At dawn, we do not say good night. At dawn, we only say goodbye.

scenario, there is one person who can build a no sorrow for my castle. No Tears of the city is still buried in the hearts of great sadness. A moment, came crashing down. And my city, never sad, only the moment of moment of joy. In thought, stranger, you still remember who said it sweet words and sweet words to those. In the like, discrete, there have been no heart can sing a song piece of the rough sea.

give my best peace will never become an empty promise, then it is happy for no reason. You say, I always was a sad face. Some people, the joy smile; no time, quietly weeping. If you are a teenager who knows everything, can hide my tears, my grief flick, doing one's best smile.

I know, everyone's mind is a hidden river of grief. You have your pain, I have my hard not understand, but no time to attend. People drinking water, Lengnuanzizhi. Like gentle life, and just mouth rise, and that is the best story.

good sunshine, the weather is warm, and I feel peace. Joy, like the warm patches of warm, pull up a channel missing, hiding in the clouds in the sky. !@#$ of a golden land, a stretch of green in the wheat seedling children, time is just right, everything was quiet.

midnight, the lights, light up the old old color, Geshi dust tone, dyed white fatalistic sadness. Jin in the time of the split, you and I know some people and things, not to miss it. Old days, there I miss white. Miss our bike, and the young and frivolous laughter.

VENICE, Italy — Veteran action star Jet Li and action director Tony Ching are expanding their repertoire into the children's fairy tale, but with an adult audience also in mind.
Their latest movie "The Sorcerer and the White Snake" made its world premier out of competition at the Venice Film Festival on Friday.
The movie is based on a classic Chinese fairy tale that has entered the popular consciousness as seamlessly as Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty in the West, with cast members saying they recalled hearing it first from their grandmothers.
But Ching said he sought to put a modern twist on the fable by mixing action with special effects.
"The idea was to blend Chinese tradition, which is martial arts, with Western technology," Ching said in an interview.
His goal was to make a movie that would appeal to adults by emphasizing the film's central love story.
"I think first it's a children's fairy tale, but it also is about the new generation who are willing to give up everything for love," he said.
In the film, Li plays a sorcerer whose job it is to subdue demons — good or evil — and slay monsters. The White Snake, a benign demon played by Eva Huang sporting an elegant computer-generated white snake tail, takes a risk for love, using her powers to become human in her pursuit of a young herbalist whom she spies gathering flowers.
The action takes place against a fantasy-filled landscape of mystical craggy peaks and a cauldron of molten lava where Jet's sorcerer destroys an evil demon.
Ching said the challenge was to combine the action with computer graphics.
"We did not want to jump from one to the other," but fuse them, Ching said.
The film is set for worldwide distribution, and Huang suggested it would help the rest of the world understand China better.
"I think people who want to know China should watch this movie," she said.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama took a more aggressive tone Wednesday in responding to attacks from his Republican opponent, polo ralph lauren pas cher (http://www.poloralphlaurensenligne.com), Senator John McCain. The increasingly negative tone to the campaign for the White House comes amid polls showing McCain surging since last week's Republican convention. More now from VOA National correspondent Jim Malone in Washington.
On Tuesday, Senator Obama told a crowd in Virginia that John McCain would basically continue the policies of President Bush.
Obama questioned McCain's claim to be an agent of change, moncler (http://www.doudoune-monclerpaschere.com/), adding "you can put lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig."
The McCain campaign pounced on Obama's comment as offensive and disgraceful, and said it targeted McCain's vice presidential running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Senator Obama denied that charge Wednesday in Norfolk, Virginia, christian louboutin pas cher (http://www.christianllouboutinpascher.com/), and accused the McCain campaign of waging a negative campaign against him that uses lies and underhanded tactics.
"Then we go another year or another four years or another eight years without addressing the issues that matter to you," he said. "Enough! I don't care what they say about me,giubbotto moncler (http://www.giubbottomonclersito.com), but I love this country too much to let them take over another election with lies and phony outrage and Swift boat politics. Enough is enough."
The Swift boat reference is connected to Democrat John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004, when he came under attack from fellow Navy veterans of the Vietnam War,louboutin (http://www.christianllouboutinpascher.com/), who claimed he exaggerated his war record.
Obama's more aggressive tone in responding to the McCain campaign comes amid new polls that show the Republican ticket of McCain and Palin gaining on Obama and his vice presidential running mate, Senator Joe Biden.
Palin has proven to be a very popular pick among social conservatives and among some women voters.
The Republicans have also fashioned an appeal to centrist voters, with McCain and Palin now casting themselves as political mavericks bent on changing and reforming Washington.
Palin and McCain appeared together Wednesday at a rally in northern Virginia.
"Because my friends, let there be no doubt, we are going to win this election, and let me offer an advance warning to the old, big-spending, do-nothing, me-first,giubbotti moncler (http://www.giubbottomonclersito.com), country-second Washington crowd-change is coming, change is coming, and it's coming to our nation's capital and we will clean it up," McCain said.
McCain's rise in the polls and the quick ascendancy of Palin as a national figure have eroded Democratic confidence, doudoune moncler (http://www.doudoune-monclerpaschere.com/), and have spurred Democrats to urge Obama to fight back more sharply against Republican attacks.
The McCain campaign has also formed a group of Republican women called the Palin Truth Squad, polo ralph lauren (http://www.poloralphlaurenaboutique.com/), which will defend the Alaska governor against what the Republicans believe are unfair Democratic attacks.

Having worked overseas nearly 30 years, Chinese-born painter Jia Lu has made unique contributions in helping Western audiences understand more about the East through her canvases.
She was recently short-listed in the “Ten Most-focused Chinese in the World" by none other than the Global Times. The reason? “Her paintings fuse Chinese and Western elements, showing a modern China with beautiful colors," according to the panel.
“I have a deep sense that my mission to help the rest of the world understand China is not only an artistic goal but a personal responsibility," Lu says, when asked how she felt. “This award reminds me of the importance of that obligation."
Her father, Lu Enyi, was a famous painter who taught her to paint when she was very young. Like many painters of the time, she learned Chinese ink painting first, and was taught by master painter Fan Zeng.
But like many artists who traveled abroad in the 1980s, Lu felt lost in the collision of cultures, and turned to different ways of appreciating art.
When she left China for Canada in 1983, she quickly discovered that, for her new friends, without an understanding of Chinese culture and history, her art was “simply too alien to understand."
“In Chinese painting, we value the traditions passed from one generation to the next; for Westerners, true art is about originality and individual expression," Lu told the Global Times. “Ink painting explores the expressiveness of black ink and the bamboo brush; but to a Westerner, who has never held a brush before and is used to the color and richness of oil painting, my art seemed dull and lifeless."
Although her paintings sold well in the overseas Chinese community, to reach a larger audience, communicating essential concepts of traditional Asian culture to a Western audience was key.
Her solution? Borrow the techniques and expressive power of oil painting, with its illusionistic perspective and realism, and substitute Asian content. The method is known as “Jiechuan Chuhai", or “Crossing the sea in a borrowed boat."
“We have a unique, complex and rich culture. But we share [that] among ourselves, using a difficult written and spoken language, raising a high wall that excludes the rest of the world." Lu says. “By borrowing Western art history to communicate Eastern ideas, I have been able to tear down a small section of that wall."
Having grown up in a Confucian society that emphasized personal sacrifice, selflessness and hard work, Lu discovered her Western friends appreciated these values much more than their wealth and luxury.
Her painting was infused with Buddhism, an Eastern spirituality cherished by many Westerners.
Having first visited Dunhuang in 1980, spending several weeks copying its Buddhist art – some of the rarest early examples of Chinese figurative art – directly from the cave walls, Lu studied figure painting.
But it was not until she worked in Japan in the early 1990s that she began to explore their significance, finding their ideas represented what was most enduring and special about Chinese culture: compassion, mindfulness, a deep respect for learning and wisdom and a belief in the perfectibility of the human state.
Lu began to show her works in China: at the Shanghai International Art Fair, Art Beijing and CIGE expos, and found how “vibrant the Chinese art market had become in the so-many-years I’d been away, and how open it was to new ideas."
“I am both humbled and inspired that my work has been recognized in this way by the Global Times. It is an honor to be included among the other outstanding artists whom I have admired for so long," says Lu.
“But in the end, I think it is not important if I live or work in China or in the West, The important thing is to continue to paint for a global audience, to improve my own art as far as I am able, and to strive to be a better person."
