A. No DSS does not currently Support in world voice communication.

A. Not Currently, but as there is no support for chat this is not really an issue!
Q. Can I chat?
A. The Current release of DSS does not have chat support
Q. How do I change my startup space?
A. When installing a new environment from a package file you are given the option to set it as your new home environment, alternatively, you can exit options.xml in the /config Directory of your DSS installation.
Q. How do I change my keys?
A. Key binding is currently hard coded in each space’s .space file. There are plans to implement a key binding interface in DSS GUI at a future date.

Q. What does DSS offer that other programs cant?
A. Digital Spaces allows anyone to provide content, for free. Digital Spaces uses high quality components to provide a high quality experience that is comparable to many existing products. Digital Spaces makes it easy for people to extend and customize the software, to add features and functionality that they want.
Q. Can DSS run on Apple and Linux machines?
A. Currently, no. However, it is planned that Digital Spaces shall be ported to these platforms, and care has been taken during development to make this process as seamless as possible.
Q. Why is DSS free?
A. As a company, we have experience with many proprietary systems, all of which have some system to keep the customer paying. We have found these systems to be counter productive, in that they are often bypassed, and frequently make it harder for the end customer to simply use the software. We believe that by providing the software for free, we will be able to build a community of like-minded content creators and developers, which will in turn create a desire for high quality content and development, which we will be ready to provide.
Q. What are the system requirements for DSS?
A. Currently Digital Spaces requires a PC with Windows and DirectX. Minimum hardware specifications have not been determined, However 3D accelerated video is required.
Q. Do I have to register to use DSS?
A. Digital Spaces does not require registration or licensing. Digital Spaces uses only publicly licensed components to ensure that once you have the software, it's yours.
